Non-Hermitian skin effects on thermal and many-body localized phases

چکیده
Localization in one-dimensional interacting systems can be caused by disorder potentials or non-Hermiticity. The former phenomenon is the many-body localization (MBL), and latter non-Hermitian skin effect (NHSE). In this work, we numerically investigate interplay between these two kinds of localization, where energy-resolved MBL arises from a deterministic quasiperiodic potential fermionic chain. We propose set eigenstate properties long-time dynamics that collectively distinguish mechanisms presence By computing proposed diagnostics, show thermal states are vulnerable to NHSE while remain resilient up strong Finally, discuss experimental observables probe difference localizations Our results pave way toward observations on interaction, potential,

متن کاملOn Scattering from Localized non-Hermitian Potentials
We highlight the conceptual issues that arise when one applies the quasi-Hermitian framework to analyze scattering from localized non-Hermitian potentials, in particular complex square-wells or deltafunctions. When treated in the framework of conventional quantum mechanics, these potentials are generally considered as effective theories, in which probability is not conserved because of processe...
متن کاملRadiative heat transfer: many-body effects
Heat transfer by electromagnetic radiation is one of the common methods of energy transfer between objects. Using the fluctuation-dissipation theorem, we have studied the effect of particle arrangement in the transmission of radiative heat in many-body systems. In order to show the effect of the structure morphology on the collective properties, the radiative heat transfer is studied and the re...
متن کاملExactly Solvable Many-Body Systems and Pseudo-Hermitian Point Interactions
The complex generalization of conventional quantum mechanics has been investigated extensively in recent years. In particular it is shown that the standard formulation of quantum mechanics in terms of Hermitian Hamiltonians is overly restrictive and a consistent physical theory of quantum mechanics can be built on a complex Hamiltonian that is not Hermitian but satisfies the less restrictive an...
متن کاملGeometrical phases on hermitian symmetric spaces
For simple Lie groups, the only homogeneous manifolds G/K, where K is maximal compact subgroup, for which the phase of the scalar product of two coherent state vectors is twice the symplectic area of a geodesic triangle are the hermitian symmetric spaces. An explicit calculation of the multiplicative factor on the complex Grassmann manifold and its noncompact dual is presented. It is shown that...
